The Bioenergetic Experience

Stanford Hall A beautiful castle in an exquisite country setting that affords privacy and an excellent atmosphere to hold a strong Bioenergetic workshop.
Working with the Body in Psychotherapy This is a unique opportunity for people interested in the work of Alexander Lowen, MD and the practice of Bioenergetics to learn about and experience this work firsthand.
Due to the structure of the seminar, seats are limited and tickets will be issued on a first come first serve basis. Bioenergetics' fundamental tenet is that the person is his or her body, and as such, the history of a person's conflicts and difficulties in development are alive and active in the body as unconscious muscular tensions and holding patterns, which limit feeling and energy. The Bioenergetic therapist works to help the client release these muscular holding patterns and to restore full and natural breathing. As this process unfolds in therapy, clients begin to understand the relevance of their history to their current holding patterns, begin to loosen the patterns, and is able to express and work through the feelings that led to the restrictions.
Gradually, more energy is freed and the client begins to claim a stronger sense of self, greater emotional health and pleasure in being alive.
