For over 10 years, within the European Association for Body-Psychotherapy (EABP), there has been a research project to make a listing of all material about Body-Psychotherapy and to make this listing as full and complete as possible.  This is the EABP Bibliography of Body-Psychotherapy.

This is now a powerful research tool, with advanced search facilities, selection of material, and even possibilities to send in new entries.  We are constantly looking for more B-P material, from different modalities, training schools, and in different languages, and are fully committed to developing this project.

The 1st edition (with 1,500+ entries) was published on CD-ROM in 2002.  The 2nd edition of the EABP Bibliography of Body-Psychotherapy contains over 3,700 entries of published or available Body-Psychotherapy material in a variety of different formats: - Books, Chapters in Books, Journal Articles, Conference Papers, Dissertations & Theses, Film, Videos, Tapes, and even B-P Websites, etc.

Availability:

The 2nd edition on CD-ROM (both PC and Mac) is now available (Oct 2006) from the EABP Secretariat (click here) for the price of €25 (Euros) and also from the USABP bureau (click here).  It is available free to EABP Members.

Abstracts & Key Words:

This is not just a simple listing of books and articles, but an informative and comprehensive bibliography.  Each entry has an abstract and key words (all searchable), lists the author’s institution and contact information (where available), and much other informational material.

Foreign Languages:

We are making entries both in the language of origin and with a corresponding entry in English. Therefore there will be two entries in the full bibliography for all foreign language articles and books etc. So you will be able to search in the language of your choice and then see what entries we have in that language.  English language speakers will be able to see what is available in that language from the corresponding English entry.

New Entries:

We really wish to get listed all the many student theses, training materials, conferences papers, tapes, etc. that Body-Psychotherapy organizations and training institutes have available in their centres for their students. We would thus be interested in giving you an ‘administrator’s copy’ of the database so that someone in your organisation can use this for your own organisation, translate some of the pages and add your own logos, add to the database and make entries of any material that we have not got yet. We can send you the programme discs etc. and instructions, because we do not want incomplete or incorrect entries. You get to keep the programme and use it as a bibliography and research tool within your organization. We get any new entries.  If you are interested in helping us with this project, please click here

Hopefully you will also soon be able to view a simple listing of these 3,700+ items on this website, without all the information and the detailed search facility.
