La psicoterapia breve carateroanalítica (PBC)

pbc Brief Character Analytic Psychotherapy, a psycho-social response to
emotional suffering in the individual and the couple The deep
Character analytic Vegeto-therapy taught at the Spanish School of
Reichian Therapy was developed by Federico Navarro following the ideas
of Wilhelm Reich, under the supervision of Ola Raknes in the 1970s.
This method, although being very efficient, has the inconvenience of
being a long term body psychotherapy which implies a long term
compromise that many patients nowadays cannot assume, both
when it comes to the time taken into account and the cost.
The new tidings have created a strong demand for brief therapies that
can satisfy both the clients needs to cope with emotional suffering
and his or her economical reality.
As a response to the need for short term therapies within the realm of
Reichian body psychotherapy, Xavier Serrano, the current director and
cofounder of  the Spanish School of Reichian Therapy (ES.TE.R.), has
developed the Brief Character Analytic Psychotherapy (PBC) that
permits a brief and yet thorough body-psychotherapy method that,
because of its brief setting is applicable both in the public health care and the private practice.
In his book, Xavier Serrano describes at depth and detail the theory
and practice of this therapeutic method applied both as and individual
psychotherapy, and an effective couples therapy.
