Candidate Membership

Criteria

Candidate Membership is for people who have essentially completed a training in Body-Psychotherapy, but have not yet completed the 400 hours of paid professional practice, the 150 hours of personal psychotherapy or the 75 hours of supervision – the main criteria for Full Individual Membership.

To become a candidate member you are required to have completed a training in a Training Institute, which has been accredited by the FORUM of Body-Psychotherapy Organisations. Training in another Institute of Body Psychotherapy which is not a member of the FORUM, has to be recognised by EABP.

Conditions

Candidate Membership is valid for only three years, by which time we hope you will fulfil all criteria for full membership. To assist you in this we will advertise you as a Candidate Member on the EABP Register of Accredited Body Psychotherapists on the EABP website.

You will receive all the EABP information and Newsletters and discounts to Congresses etc., but you will not have a vote in the General Assembly. The various National Associations may have different voting procedures depending on the regulations of the country you live in.

The fee for Candidate Membership is 95 € per year.

Your membership is valid once you have been accepted and have paid your membership fee.
