The following are schools whose trainings have been accredited by the
EABP FORUM of Body-Psychotherapy Organizations.

There are two distinct types of organisations:

Training Organisations

Professional Associations

Most of the Training Organisations are currently involved in a detailed process of accreditation using Mutual Recognition & Self-Assessment as described elsewhere.
18 Training Schools have already been accredited (by January 2007).

This accreditation means first working towards recognition by EABP and the other organisations within The FORUM according to the criteria in EABP's Training Standards and the Mutual Recognition Process. Secondly, because of EABP's role as an European Wide Accrediting Organisation (EWAO) of the European Association of Psychotherapy (EAP), eventually these training organsation should be able to award their trainees the European Certificate of Psychotherapy. However their modalities in Body-Psychotherapy have to be "scientifically validated" and four modalities have gone through this process: Hakomi, Unitive Psychotherapy, Biodynamic Psychology, and Bodynamics. Various 'Integrative Body-Psychotherapies' are also going through this process and some other Body-Psychotherapies like Biosynthesis and Bioenergetic Analysis have done this independently.

Some members of The FORUM are not ready to go this process yet and some organisations feel they have their accreditation needs met satisfactorily elsewhere; for the Professional Associations it is obviously inappropriate, though there may be ways in which they would like to relate to each other professionally. EABP is considering a form of Affiliate Membership for such professional associations who have similar standards as EABP.

Please note that inclusion on this list - unless stated - does not mean that an organisation is accredited by EABP. It just means that the organisation is an Organisational Member of EABP and is involved with The FORUM for Body-Psychotherapy Organisations.

Interesting Statistics are that the Training Organisations have been in existance for an average of 14 years; have trained in total nearly 3,200 people; have currently got over 200 people engaged in the trainings as trainers; and are currently training about 1,250 trainees. The Professional Associations involve about 400 practising Body-Psychotherapists; and the European Institutions with over 1,000 people involved - and a total of about 6,000 people with direct experience of Body-Psychotherapy training.
