There are two distinct types of organisations:

Most of the Training Organisations are currently involved in a detailed process of accreditation using Mutual Recognition & Self-Assessment as described elsewhere. Some members of The FORUM are not ready to go this process yet and some organisations feel they have their accreditation needs met satisfactorily elsewhere; for the Professional Associations it is obviously inappropriate, though there may be ways in which they would like to relate to each other professionally. EABP is considering a form of Affiliate Membership for such professional associations who have similar standards as EABP. Please note that inclusion on this list - unless stated - does not mean that an organisation is accredited by EABP. It just means that the organisation is an Organisational Member of EABP and is involved with The FORUM for Body-Psychotherapy Organisations. Interesting Statistics are that the Training Organisations have been in existance for an average of 14 years; have trained in total nearly 3,200 people; have currently got over 200 people engaged in the trainings as trainers; and are currently training about 1,250 trainees. The Professional Associations involve about 400 practising Body-Psychotherapists; and the European Institutions with over 1,000 people involved - and a total of about 6,000 people with direct experience of Body-Psychotherapy training. |
