The Endo-Psychic Self (Unpublished
2006)
In this paper, after a review of some
major themes in self-development theory, I formulate a definition of a primary
self - the endo-psychic self – that comes into existence simultaneously with
the physical existence of the organism. I then describe some of the basic
functions and characteristics of the endo-psychic self and argue that the
endo-psychic self is the primary organizing agent of the infant’s experiences.
It is how early development begins and we must contact this primary self
directly for therapy to be effective. (Unpublished)

I am searching for articles that give “blow-by-blow” step-wise descriptions of a part of a therapeutic session.
These are not easy to find. Perhaps you have material from your school or from colleagues.
To explain the reason for this request, I am sending you, attached, an article,
“Three Case Studies Explained by the Sympathetic-Parasympathetic Model: Pat Ogden and Joseph Levine.” (Their articles will be found in the EABP website.) The article, “Three Cases,” attempts to support the scientific validation of Body-Oriented Psychotherapy by analyzing concrete therapeutic sequences. To continue with this project, and invite others to join me, it is necessary to find appropriate material. If you have comments, I’d be pleased to receive them.
Yours truly,
